Symposium Human Spatial Navigation 'Navigo'

"Navigo" introduces a topic that has received considerable attention in recent years - spatial navigation in humans. In 2014 the Nobel prize for medicine and physiology was awarded to John O’Keefe, Edvard and May-Britt Moser for their research on the cellular and neurophysiological mechanisms on spatial navigation.

Speakers at this year's symposium are R. Kessels, Nijmegen; V. Bohbot, Montréal; T. Wolbers, Magdeburg; A. Ekstrom, Davis; V. Flanagin and F. Schöberl, Munich.

The international symposium "Navigo" aims at discussing research on human navigation in health, during aging and distinct pathological conditions. Thereby, a fundamental understanding of cerebral network functions in general and of compensatory mechanisms due to pathological conditions may be achieved.
