Fulltime position open in the laboratory of Anna Schubö at the Department of Psychology, Philipps-University Marburg

A 28 months fulltime postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Anna Schubö at the Department of Psychology, Philipps-University Marburg. The position will be available from September 1st 2015 until December 31st 2017. The fulltime position may be split into two 50% PhD positions.
The position to be filled is part of Project B3 of the Collaborative Research Center (SFB/TRR 135) “Cardinal mechanisms of perception: Prediction, Valuation, Categorization” funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). Project B3 uses mainly EEG/ERP methodology to investigate the role of valuation in attention deployment. For more information please see http://www.allpsych.uni-giessen.de/sfb/index_en.html.
The job profile involves research in the field of Experimental Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience. The successful candidate will work on projects which investigate mainly visual attention, with links to action planning and working memory, using EEG/ERP methodology, eye tracking, motion tracking and behavioral methodology. The group is equipped with two EEG labs, an eye tracker and a motion tracking lab. The job profile also involves publishing in international scientific journals and presenting results at international conferences.
We seek applicants with a master’s degree in Cognitive Neuroscience, Psychology, or a related field and a strong background in Experimental Psychology. A solid grounding in Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience (EEG, ERP etc.) and / or eye tracking and strong computer programming and statistical skills are desirable. An above-average PhD and a promising publication record are required for the postdoctoral position.
